Artist Statement

I find comfort in writing, and through spoken words; it’s rather cathartic.
I find comfort in photographing what can’t be explained in words (although it often can’t be captured through a lens).
I find comfort in lying in bed, in complete darkness, and allowing music to consume my soul and inspire me.
I find comfort in all sorts of reading.

I find it astonishing how art has helped me form many of my closest relationships. Whether it is a common interest in music, a gallery, a particular motion picture or whatever the case may be.

I truly find fashion to be one of the greatest arts.
It is through fashion where we see the differences in cultures across the globe.
Whether it’s a traditional African headdress, or a Sicilian widows black veil.

The first time I tried on a pair of black, leather, Tom Ford Chelsea boots was through the pages of GQ, Vogue and Vanity Fair. It was those magazines that made it possible to develop this burning passion inside of me.

I've wanted to write for a magazine for a while. In the back of my mind, I've always been fascinated by my mother, and the work she's contributed for countless magazines over the years. In some sense, I denied that...I didn't want to be known as "Susan Falletta's son." It took some time but I came to terms with that. I am confident in myself, and my work, that I will be known for who I am.
I AM ME. I AM ANTHONY FALLETTA.

I've learned to love myself for all my faults.
